Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Basra
- Arrive at Basra International Airport and explore the city.
- Enjoy a general city tour, including a visit to the Shatt al-Arab River.
Day 2: Basra – Marshes – Nasiriyah
- Stop at the Meeting Point of the Rivers and visit Adam’s Tree.
- Experience the Marshes of southern Iraq with a boat ride and a traditional Masgouf lunch.
- Travel to the historic city of Nasiriyah.
Day 3: Nasiriyah – Ur – Uruk – Najaf
- Visit the ancient city of Ur and explore its iconic Ziggurat.
- Continue to Uruk, one of the world’s first cities and a cradle of civilization.
- Drive to Najaf.
Day 4: Najaf – Karbala
- Visit the Imam Ali Shrine and the Wadi Al-Salam Graveyard.
- Travel to Karbala to explore the Imam Hussein Shrine and nearby markets.
Day 5: Karbala – Babylon – Baghdad
- Explore the ancient city of Babylon, including its ruins and Saddam Hussein’s palace.
- Visit Dur-Kurigalzu, known for its well-preserved ziggurat.
- Travel to Baghdad.
Day 6: Baghdad City Tour
- Visit landmarks like the Iraq Museum, Al-Shaheed Monument, and Bab al-Wastani.
- Explore Mustansiriya Madrasa, Al-Mutanabi Street, and the Coppersmith Markets.
Day 7: Baghdad – Samarra – Mosul
